That explains the extra work you are putting in. Good luck at the show. Our Mopar club asked me if I was interested in entering my 300 in the Calgary show on Feb 23-25, but I declined. That would just be too much detailing for me without a large warm area to do it in.

I feel your pain. I worked all night on my car till 6:30 this morning, the time just got away from me but I enjoyed the time spent on the car. Listening to old tunes working on an old car is like therapy to me . It’s hard to explain to non car people, they just figure I’m crazy.

I appreciate the offer but the car is going to be in a photo shoot that weekend and then it’s the Edmonton show the next weekend. But maybe next time if the offer is still open.

I restored the aluminum trunk trim as well as the tail panel trim last night. I think it turned out well . What do you guys think ?

Here is the metal polish and variable speed drill with foam polishing pad I used. It took about 15 minuets to do . It’s the first time I use this product and it works great but you have to have the anodized coating removed from the trim or it will not polish . My final step will be to cover it in the clear 3M film the same stuff you put on the hood of your truck or car to protect it from stone chips. This will stop it from oxidizing and keep it looking great

The back end is DONE .compounded and sealed the paint I didn’t have much room to work or take pics I will have better ones later

this is the metal buffing set I started with (sizzle wheel) but you need to remove the anodize Coating before you use this so that meant sanding it off. NOW I DO NOT DO THAT : I use easy off oven cleaner to remove anodize coating then polish with surf city garage metal polish. ITS SO EASY ITS CRAZY!!! It saved me 75% of my work time with the same result.

I learned the hard way now I use easy off oven cleaner and polish with surf city garage all metal polish with a foam pad it’s incredible how good it works. The oven cleaner takes the anodize coating off

Wheel restoration done . Rim centre painted argent silver and clear coated,chrome centres cleaned polished ,chrome part of rim polished, stainless steel trim rings cleaned and polished .
