Idler Pulley

Knock on wood, never had to change OR worry about those idler pulleys. The factory pulleys went past 150K miles on our cars. And I never did get the ps brackets welded on the '66 as the pump still leaned into the belt when needed, so no belt squawks, even with it sitting crooked to the belt. Figured I'd find a urethane bushing or something to replace the worn rubber items, somewhere along the line.

I can tell you that the belt that is on the water pump Idler assembly is as loose as a goose. I don't even know how it turned the pump...
I need to get a picture of this so you guys can go WT...
And I think the idler is pretty bogus.

I had the wobbly pump bracket for a long time, never had any issues with it being loose as a goose, and had the exact same steering feel that I do with the later style pump and bracket I put on. Now I'm wishing I kept it when i swapped it out.
