Mine is in the dash, a simple switch cylinder with the lock that has a very small brass pin. The pin can be depressed in one position of the lock that I think is ON. And, my new lock is now coming loose at times when I turn things on. Looking at another one, I have not figured out yet whether this is installed right, or what. But, the lock appears to only go in one way with the actual clip at the base, but maybe not. Have not studied the manual, that is next, just phishing for any thoughts. The little brass pin can easily be depressed when in the on position, but until I remove the cylinder and look at him, not sure if I should have to use a small pin to press the pin inward, to remove....and maybe my chinese copy is too loose???

Just as the release pin must be depressed and the ign cyl turned to release it, there should be a similar procedure to put it back in and lock it in place. Until that "lock-in" happens, it might release itself, I suspect.

I just ordered a different mfr switch cylinder. I have another new lock. Once I get it, I will pull the beastie, to see if it is me, or the chinese product. Just wondering if I had done something else ignorant, as I often do these days. Do not yet know if there is an incorrect assy process....the manual does not discuss the lock, as far as I found so far......sooooo
