I don't know the difference between 66 and 69, but my 66 was a 383 2 barrels car, now has a 440 with and edelbrock 4 performer intake, 1 inch spacer and a 750 edelbrock AFB, and 3 inch filter. It touches the bottom of my hood when closed. I don't even have a rod for the air cleaner. Fusies might have more room, not sure.
Well my engine builder decided on a Trick Flow intake for the good runner pattern and rise. Trick Flow® Track Heat® Intake Manifolds for Big Block Mopar TFS-61600111 Now I'll have a Ford type brand part on my car. I do see they also now make aftermarket aluminum head too now also.
