Looks cheap and half assed, but under the hood looked good.

So it was just clamped onto the turn signal stalk like that? Huh, learn something new everyday on here. Thank you.

No hat is not original. Looks like an after market piece. But the under hood stuff looks to be original pieces? These were common back in the day. You could add aftermarket cruise and the main control stalk...like what you have there...would clip onto the turn signal lever.

My guess is that the under hood stuff is either original mopar components, or an after market set-up made to mimic the OEM system. Then the main control stalk was pieced in.

Definitely aftermarket. I've known shops that used to install that same unit.

That's on the Imp and definitely not factory. It should be mounted to the dash right there in the background and it says Auto Pilot on it with a thumbwheel style rheostat to the left. Underhood looks correct.

I seen the dash mounted controls today. And the mysterious yellow box above the eight track player must be the cruise control module.

The above 68 Imperial HAD factory cruise , which its still in place under the hood, but has an addded aftermarket one along with it. The thing attached to the turn signal lever is NOT factory.

I know this is a reply to an OLD thread, but.... That stalk may be considered "factory" to some, but the car it is installed in is a '68 Imperial--- It is definitely NOT original. They had AutoPilot System with the dial and switch on the dash panel leading edge, below the light and wiper switches.
