It's easy. You ship in crude and pay the refined price, (not crude)and ship out the refined oil at the higher price. In the end the oil goes out.

The value difference is Influenced by the grade of oil coming in VS going out. That is where profit exists.

Boy, that is a tough question. Five people in the whole company did my job. It was stressful, and illuminating at the same time. I hesitate to put it out. I don't think about it much anymore, unless someone asks me in person. Then it is easier to speak of it.I used to work for a hospital where I unloaded rescue squads, wrestled drug overdosed victims, dead and alive, as well as psych patients ,and loaded morgue carts for seven years prior to working for Enron. That was less stressful. :yaayy:

But, I use those skills now in a different way.
