I don't believe much in mystical stuff or luck of the Irish but living in Kenosha, Wi my whole life, I have never come across another 880 or even seen one at any car show within 50 miles. After break in and clean up, I went to the oil drop off site because I topped out my 2 5 gallon jugs of used motor oil. As I am leaving I see a 4 door 880 go by and follow the guy. He lived up the street from the drop off site and we talked for about an hour about our cars. I am hoping this is a sign that my motor is strong and will run hard the rest of its life.

Well, everything seemed to go alright. Spark plug wires keep falling off, need to squeeze those so they are a little tighter. 70psi oil pressure, 190 degrees, alt charging. Tranny still leaking bad from the pan. I think I need to look into an aftermarket pan. Any suggestions?

stick with oem steel pan....have had alum cast ones weep through the metal

Is that a rod knocking? Seems to quiet up after the motor is up to temp. Short skirts on piston, possible piston rocking?

an engine stethoscope will tell you pretty quickly
hard to pick the sound from the vid
do one again with the hood up

The timing creep up on me, it was around 20 btdc, turned it down to 12 and she is purring.
