That is exactly how it is supp to work: He makes a statement, I as a constituent question his motives, in order to get my vote he promises that he will do the absolute best he can and will solve all my problems even though he either a) has no intention of keeping said promise, or b) cannot keep the promise (ie, needs support from others in order to make changes but may/may not get it). I then, like a sucker, believe him, vote for him and realize later that I was hoodwinked.

If you don't believe this is how it works just watch what happens every election cycle.

nowadays you don't have to ask for it, the govt is already telling me the rich owe me because they stole it from me. question is, once they get a huge tax rate on the rich and can no longer take from them, who is going to pay for the irresponsible spending? All the little people who think the govt gives a damn about them.......

be careful with that......remem, women take money that could have been used to buy/fix our C's. Of course, our internal workings do not permit the full removal of women from our lives, so we are destined to deal with the conundrum.
