Oh please I don't have to stoop to hiring illegals.. If I really wanted to see it I could hire some genuine Americans to do it. I hear the folks in Dearborn MI are worse off than the 4 billion starving Chinamen during the 80's.

Hey Stan I didn't know you were a labour relator...practiced myself for 10 years with my employer. Currently doing recruiting. Have you presented any arb cases? We happen to have a hybrid promotion clause in our collective agreement. If skills and ability are relatively equal only then seniority takes over. Using that standard my lack of technical knowledge puts me at the bottom.

I was an instructor for 2 years that taught courses titled Labor Relations 1 and Labor Relations 2. I was never trained in Labor Relations. I was awarded the position because of my Union experience in organizing, arbitration, negotiations, etc combined with my degree in Engineering Management.

In your case, it all boils down to what is in the contract and without reading I can't say anything. Also, I have zero background in contracts with promotion clauses.
