Joy Ride movie

I was cleaning out garage and found my Joy Ride movie promo
T shirt. My wife always hated this shirt. I suspect that she had something to do with its disappearance.
Joy Ride is kinda of a Duel remake with a Trucker VS teenagers in a 71 Newport.

I doubt I would have watched that movie back in the day except for the fact that it had a 1971 Newport playing a major role. It did have a lot of drama and tension in it and it was pretty wild and Paul Walker was a draw for it as well with the women. Too bad he is gone now......................

I also watched this movie that wasn't all that great but it had Bob Hope in it that made it pretty successful and it featured a 1971 Chrysler 300 in it with a sunroof no less. But it too kept your attention:



The 300 first appears about 11:05 into the movie.................................

I love JoyRide!
It was made before Walker made it big with the FnF franchise.
I never thought of it as a remake of Duel.
Sure some inspiration maybe.
