Now, what could a turquoise 1970 Polara be doing on the road today, sandwiched between a 1971 GB2 Challenger convertible and a 1972 GY4 New Yorker (looking, in the rearview mirror, suspiciously like Buttercup)?
Well, two of my cars needed exercise after sitting in the garage since Carlisle, so @Imperialist67 and I drove them to the Kensington park auto show. It is a small event held every year at a retirement home just north of Bethesda, MD to raise money for Alzheimer research.
The weather was fantastic. Here are some photos from the show.
First is Regina, my FQ3 Polara ‘vert, parked next to a 1949 Yukon Gray Plymouth DeLuxe (P18). A red 1966 Corvette hardtop and a silver Porsche 996 ragtop are parked further to the right.
Next is Buttercup, my 1972 NYB. She is parked next to a gorgeous, fully redone 1964 Oldsmobile Starfire of similar color. Further to the right is a cream-colored Mustang hardtop.
