Known GA4 Cars

Do you see what I see? Still getting information on this one, but the gentleman who posted it on my GA4 Facebook page said his father bought it new. This makes the 4th Dodge C-Body, 2nd original paint car, and 1st Monaco.

Slowly getting more and more information, but she is a very well optioned Monaco with a lot of blue.

Story on the Monaco, told by the owner’s son Terry Mateer:

Here's a few more pictures of Dad's '71 Monaco he bought brand new. I've seen this country from the backseat of this thing. It's the 1st time it's been uncovered in probably 8 years.
We were talking about it & he called this a "Demonstrator Car" & said it was special ordered by a salesman there in Terre Haute. I'm assuming this was the specially prepared car the guy was going to use to sell the Monaco to potential customers.

The story of how Dad got it: He'd special ordered a '71 Pontiac Bonneville back in late '70. It had all the doo-dads & was a light metallic, much like the GA4, but in a light Green. The color was stunning as was the car, but it wiped the cam on it's maiden voyage about 60 miles out of town as we were headed to Ohio. The dealer did their part but about 3 months later the transmission failed when he was headed home from a meeting in Indianapolis. He worked for the G.C. Murphy Company back in the day. He went to his friend at the dealership the next morning & told him the car's a lemon, he doesn't want it anymore & to make it happen. Old boy told Dad to take a walk w/him & to go out & pick any car off the lot. As soon as they came out of the door, there sat the Dodge on the carrier. Dad saw it & knew he wanted it. The guy took him back inside & started the paperwork. Three days later Dad gets a call at home from the salesman who'd special ordered it. He'd just returned from vacation & couldn't find the Monaco. I was only 6 at the time, but I can still remember Dad saying "Well, it's mine now, isn't it?"
First time I laid eyes on it, it was from the rear. I came from out beside a friend's house & as I walked around his house, our driveway came into view. I remember thinking to myself "Dad bought a Charger!" as I was running across the road to greet him for lunch.
Wish now I'd taken my good SONY camera with me as I'm not impressed w/the low quality pictures my cell phone took. Hope you enjoy...

Is this Monaco for sale or is it likely to be anytime soon since you know the family that it is in and the background on it so well? Thanks for any insights. You could PM me if you have any thoughts.

I doubt it is for sale. Everything I’ve posted is from what the owner told me about it through Facebook. The New Yorker I just posted may be for sale though.

The ’71 New Yorker IS for sale. Seems to be otherwise a decent specimen, but the stub frame is totally rusted out, and needs to be swapped.

A subframe is so easy, even I can do it! Granted, it still looks the same as it did 15 months ago.

I'd rather replace that 71 NY's subframe than try to get those seats redone. (meaning, I view those good-condition seats as more appealing).
But realistically - this 71 NY is a $1500-$1700 car at best?
Has some sheetmetal rust and the engine is seized.

I'm curious how the little headlights were installed, they look like 4" / PAR-36 units or some modern OEM foglamp.

Found another GA4 Polara! Sad thing is it’s being sold as parts only due to an engine fire. Located on the VA/NC border. Fendertag is almost completely illegible, but from talking to the owner it’s a DL43L1 car.
