The red convertible is finally being laid to rest, but in doing so has helped at least another six cars continue on. Interesting note, when I was cutting through the sills it took me forever and I started doubting if I had the strength or stamina to do such things anymore. Imagine my surprise when the front dropped off and showed the thickness of the steel in the sills!

You found the extra rocker reinforcement for the convertible chassis. Well done!!

B and A bodies have the same thing. Very sturdy

Wow - never knew that was inside there. Now I know why the vert is so strong. When mine was restored it was mounted on the rotisserie at the front and year without any temporary bracing. The body stayed true. Don't think you can do that with a Ford or GM vert.

Just sections or the complete length? Both ends are rotten.

Complete length, once they are cross cut the integrity is gone, AMHIK. Rotten ends can still be used to an extent. Peeling the rocker is fairly easy as they are just spot welded in.

There is a white 69 convertible being parted in the forum too.

Loaded up and ready to go to the great Mopar graveyard in the sky...and Stan, I'm still on my first sawzall blade. Damn my back is sore.

It looks to very much what we're looking for with the exception of the location.
