Last rites to the red 70 Plymouth Fury Convertible

Interesting that the 1969 sport fury vert weighs 25 pounds more than the 1969 fury III vert and each vert weighs 51 - 141 pounds more than their respective coupe depending on fast top or hard top. I imagine that the 1970 weight numbers are essentially the same however I could not find them. I would have thought that the verts weight would have been a bit more than what is shown.

You didn't per chance measure the thickness of that C-profile, just for the record? Looks like t=5mm or so (3/16"? or even 4/16"?)

So I got the weight of the bare shell and front chassis, came in at 1380lbs. $52 they paid me. Scrap is $75 a ton here at the moment. Almost not worth the effort.

@Wollfen -- do you happen to have kept the fender tag and/or VIN tag and/or build sheet of the ER6 'vert, and would you be willing to post photos here for records?

Wollfen is long gone, not sen since August. On a another thread it was reported that everything got scrapped and he sold the property. Sad, he was a valuable source of information and parts.

The last I heard, Gary was living on a boat.
