The post burn surface is very soft and fragile so it needs to be stabilized first and then a two part floor quality wax is applied as the final surface. You can still feel all the texture but it's very durable.

Very nice. I wondered what you had planned. The first images showed the end grain of the legs even with the surface of the table top. That is tough to pull off. Nice work.
