My time with L or R studz revolves around the '61 300 Batwagon when I did the disc brake conversion and went with the righties. I chose '81 Imperial 5X100X15 "Snow Flakes" just 'cuz I liked 'um and they were the rite diameter. But when I went to mount them on the '77 C-Body rotorz those cute little clear plastic Pentastars center caps WOULD NOT MOUNT, 'CUZ The center of the rotorz came too deep into the wheels to let it happen. SOOO? I HAD TWO 1/2" INCH WHEEL SPACERS MACHINED OUT OF 1/2" ALUMINUM FLAT STOCK 'CUZ EVERYTHING IN 1/2" SPACERS I FOUND OUT THERE WAZ ABSOLUTE JUNK. Then ten 3" long lugz from Summit were appropriated WHICH ALL 10 THEN HAD TO BE CUT DOWN 'CUZ MY CHROME ACORNZ WOULDN'T BOTTOM OUT TO MOUNT THE WHEELZ. HOPE I HAVE AH FEW OF YOU GUYZ LAUGHIN' NOW? DID THE DEPTH MEASURING WITH TWO OPEN LUGZ TO SET THE WHEEL THEN MEASURE, MEASURE, MEASURE, THE DEPTH OF THE ACORNZ, + THE THICKNESS OF THE OPEN LUGZ ADD TOGETHER AND THEN SUBTRACT FROM THE TIP OF THE 3" LUGZ. THEN ONE AT AH TIME LOCKED EACH LUG INTO MY BENCH VICE, RAN THE CORRECT DIE DOWN ON THE LUGZ BELOW THE MEASURED CUT OFF POINT AND CUT EACH LUG DOWN THE CORRECT AMOUNT WITH MY CUT OFF WHEEL, DRESSED UP THE TIP OF THE LUG BOLT AND THEN WALKED TO DIE BACK OFF THE MAKE SURE NO BURRS REMAINED. Yeah I'm weird and still no paragraphs but damn I'm havin' fun, HAPPY FRIDAY Y'ALL. Jer
