Thanks to @Samplingman and @69monaco, we now know the whereabouts of CM27T0C159740. This EB7 300 ‘vert with M6B3 interior has had its heart ripped out, unfortunately, and the rest of the car is for sale on FB.

the car is loaded with H53 auto temp, power toys and a fancy radio. The SBD was November 6, 1969.
@MrMoparCHP posted the full tag of CM27T0C159740 but I was away and missed it -- here it is for records.

I don't know what has happened to this car since it went up for sale in August 2022 as a likely parts car (missing the engine, with some bondo and a trashed interior).

Thanks to @69monaco we have DL27L0D108218, which is currently for sale in Hollister, southwest Missouri — which explains the low options yet AC.

@Lowbudget recently acquired an N-code Newport convertible in Carlin, Nevada and is planning to get her back on the road. CE27N0C180789 is loaded but the front clip was changed and the fender tag is missing. From the ad, we gather that she has power windows, power antenna, power seat, power disc brakes, factory ac. Am/fm with 8 track. Thanks to @67valiant 100 for pointing out why she must have been born FY4 Mystic Gold with E2F4 gold vinyl bench interior. (the interior is a sure bet, the exterior could be FY6 or FF4 -- but that is unlikely).

Thanks to @70 Sport Suburban we have CE27L0C112096, an early-build (SBD is Sept. 3, 1969) 1970 Newport 'vert that has been for sale in Monticello, MN. Here are photos for records. Nicely equipped, and still sporting the dark green EF8 paint.

Edit -- added the text from the FB ad here: "383 turns over, but I haven’t had a chance to get it running yet. Car will need a complete restoration. (...) Rare black bucket seat interior with console shifted 727 torque flite automatic. Low 55,000 miles been in storage since 1978 $5500 best offer no Title but I will give you a bill of sale so you can get one"

And another Fury iii convertible has been added to the registry, thanks again to @70 Sport Suburban

This one has no fender tag, and the build sheet's penultimate VIN digit is very difficult to read. PM27G0D2248x5 (it could be PM27G0D224875 but I am not sure).

From the ad: "
Being sold with the original birth certificate found stuffed inside front passenger seat.
318 V8
Colour - Scorch Red

Been garage stored for the last 5 years. Some minor issues but not bad for 54 years old.

Work I've had professionally done.

  • rebuilt carb and replaced fuel line.
  • replaced gas tank with brand new one from Spectra Premium
  • had the convertible piston rams replaced (new stock)
  • 4 new shocks
  • replaced steering idler arm
  • replaced oil pan gasket
  • replaced radiator with electric fan system from Summit Racing.
  • new tie rod ends
  • new water pump
The body is pretty solid but I'm not saying its perfect.
It has a couple leaks and squeaks but every spring it starts no problem.

"original birth certificate"

Really? Cars are made, not born. Are we ever going to stop anthropomorphizing man-made objects?

anthropomorphizing
Yeah I had to look that one up too. :poke:

an·thro·po·mor·phize
[ˌanTHrəpəˈmôrˌfīz]
verb
anthropomorphizing (present participle)
  1. attribute human characteristics or behavior to (a god, animal, or object):
"people's tendency to anthropomorphize their dogs"

"original birth certificate"

Dang, I say "born with", but don't call it a birth certificate. I've been talking to my Polara since I've owned it, I talk to all my cars. But I don't think of them as humans in any way, they are machines, plain and simple.

Here is another 1970 N-code Fury iii 'vert. PM27NOD283401 is an EB3 "Ice Blue" Plymouth, and for sale currently on Auto Trader (auction due Nov. 19).
I made a typo in that post, typing PM27NOD283401 instead of PM27N0D283401 -- since I cannot edit that old post anymore, I am fixing it here to make sure that folks can find the info if they search the VIN.

This beautiful Fury iii 'vert is for sale again in MI, with what seems like another 1k miles or so on the clock.
