Aren't you the guy who posted this on July 6th, and after many members responded--including asking you for more info on what you're trying to do so they could better advise you--you never bothered to return to your own thread with that info or a "thanks"? These alternator questions have been discussed endlessly on all the C, B, A and E Body Only forums. Maybe you should do your own research on alternator brackets this time. You'll learn more.

has anybody put a newer style alternator on there car.
like a 120 amp from a 90 truck.

I don't know what you mean about "period correct" but 'Top Cog' belts weren't OEM back then.
