"Little (blood) Red" Gets Her Own Thread (Too)

If this is mostly original paint I'd personally leave as is or maybe as an option just have the mismatched parts redone with slight blending into the adjoining parts, it won't be perfect but I had this done on a single stage met. paint car once and it made a noticable difference. However there's also the Problem with the old paint probably being single stage and blending most likely with clearcoat paint.
Thanks. Good option. There are small dings on both qtrs, largest cluster on passenger door, chips in front hood and couple scratches on trunk lid and a patch of lost or thinned paint between rear window and trunk edge. No rust.

Hardest Thing is to find a painter who can do it nicely and is also willing to do so, it is considered as botchy work by many regular painters while I consider this as a sort of preservation, I had These discussions a couple of times already. Parts not to be painted should be stripped in any case.

Blemishes.

I'm a guy who can live with the use of touchup paint if there is original paint involved while Stan would probably Pop his eyes out. :D

The more I inspect the new Imperial I have to assume the 3 previous owners took every effort to keep paint original. But, blended new paint to fix dings and scratches as they occurred. Then, stopped the paint repairs leaving what I have to decide on for the next step.

Think I'll get some options from some great painters I know In town soon. I could go either way. Really no rush. And I think everything I do pops Stan's eyes out anyway. At least it has stock sneakers and no fuzzy dice or sidepipes.
