I am starting to think this is a wasted trip. I am not liking what I am seeing and thus not agreeing with his assessment of their condition.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, that want my input, but I am out. Really the only one I'm really interested in is the 68 wagon that is overpriced by probably 3 fold.

Wow... I was giving benefit-of-doubt pricing. Where the hell are they stored? A serial killer's dungeon?

Actually the building is really cool it's an old Packard dealership. My misconception was the car collection. I am pretty sure the original owner bought these cars 30 years ago all for under $1,000. They all look like used cars that have sat for 30 years driven in Ohio's salt. None of them I bet he even bought new.

Much of that rust on the wagon looks like moisture vs. salt (for example, everything around the windows). Might have been a cool building, but looks damp! Did they smell of mold?

Thanks for putting eyes on the real cars. Not worth even bidding on the 1972 Monaco to me, and the options are paltry - plus too many miles that mean a full restoration. The rust isn't encouraging either. Pass.

For those who might be interested the chap sold 3 of the cars this weekend. One of them was the '68 wagon. I never saw a good shot of that car. I don't know which other ones sold, but I know the '72 Monaco is still there.

Sorry for dropping the ball as the some what "local guy" and not making the trip. I was looking for a deal on the '68 and I could see that it wasn't going to be the case. I hope the owner might join or is a member of the group, I still would like to see the condition of that one.

I wonder if the guy that put the deposit on the '68 actual put eyes in person, on the car. I got more pictures but not a single interior or engine bay. Seems odd for such a high asking price. Makes me wonder if he even has keys to that one.

I personally hope he did get 18k for his 68 t and c. Then I would have gotten a great deal on the one I bought with the 70 300 from Cali.

No doubt at all Tim that you got a great deal on the 70 300 from California. You deserved it given the other convertibles you bought in the past that were not as described in terms of rust. Very glad for you!!!
