I have a friend who makes these really cool "TOWN LINE" "INFO" & "ROUTE" signs - He can also create many other D.O.T. style signs as well ! They are actually made from DOT specs using aluminum / corrugated / aluminum layered sign materials. He just finished these up for me, and I hung em up in my garage earlier tonight! I thought I would share some pics

Prisoners still make heavy duty furniture for the military barracks and offices.

They don't make anything in prisons anymore... it's degrading.

They make license plates and office furniture just up the road in the Auburn prison. They call it "going to work for Copper John". Copper John is the revolutionary war statue made of copper on top of the main office. Auburn also was the first to use an electric chair.

New York State actually has a whole system set up called Corcraft to make office furniture, road signs, modular buildings, and clothing for government and prison use. They make eye glasses for prisoners and welfare recipients in one prison. If you call the DMV, the call centers are in a couple other prisons.

And in Mass. the prisons have group therapy discussions with trained counselors and sing Kumbaya while being served cookies and milk. Then nap time and badminton after.

Don't know much about prison... don't want to either.

Mmmm. Biscuits and Mustard..

A lot of lawn and garden equipment, to include mowers and lawn tractors, are made in prisons, as well. Oklahoma still cranks their tags out in McAlester, which is the largest State prison.
Didn't they ever see Sling Blade?
