Mopar police

What percentage of those cars are restored originals as opposed to clones?

I believe it was around 60/40. 60 being real police cars, the 40 being clones. A lot of clones, but a lot of real cars as well. The clones were done up real well though. Everything period correct for the most part.

going everywhere the blues bros went = priceless

Thanks saylor! Hope to do the trip again sometime.

I'm surprised there were so few M Bodies...used to see those everywhere. In Canada, the Plymouth pursuits were often used...cost reasons I guess?

The only time I saw Bs or Ms as cop cars was on TV or in movies. New England Municipalities just out right rejected them.

Overall in my opinion only 25% are original. The older a squad is it is even lower of a percentage to be original. If the car has documentation it is even better. My car is a '70 Fury III with a "M" code vin, not the "K" code. BUt in my year Washington State Patrol purchased Fury III's and then individually added the police options. My car had the ID tag and some original documents showing the vin and being purchased by Washington State Patrol. So remember a real "Pursuit" package car does not have to be a "K" code vin.

Great thread, really like the dark Green 73 Polara. Thanks for posting.

I'm thinking about bringing one of my real Mustang SSPs to that show this year (or make a Canine clone out my 70 wagon LOL). The guy who owns the MN State Patrol car in the string of photos has tried to get me to attend that show the last two years, but the show has fallen on the same weekend as my wedding anniversary. My MSP is the last of 20 consecutive VINs from 1989, the only year they used them, and 1 of 4 dark blue (they used 7 different colors with no more than 6 of one color and only 1 black one which was the first VIN and wrecked with 5k miles during training). The NHP is 1 of 8 from 1993 (they had them from other years too, starting in 85).
