Looks like great fun but are you sure that is Minnesota; no rust! Lived in the cities for 25 years and in the winter you could hear the car rust around you on a quiet night!
@billyfury s I-would-have-ordered-my-GT-exactly-the-same-back-in-1970 car.. FK3, black stripe, black interior, best looking car on this planet. Period..
This was my first trip to Mopars in the Park show and the first time the 72 Imperial has been back to the area where it was purchased 17 years ago. The old girl road like a champ there and back keeping high oil pressure and cool temps, at speeds mostly between 65 & 75 mph. (although I hit 85 mph a few times on the way back though just keeping up with traffic)
The show had so many nice cars, including all the rides in the C body class, from nice drivers and original cars to the modified ones and nicely restored rare ones too. You can tell everyone in our class really cares about their cars.
I was only at the show on Saturday and got to pass out all 25 C Body Show flyers I brought with me, (should've brought more) Hopefully some will make their way to Volo on the 25th of June.
Was able to place the face with the name from a bunch of members on this page for the first time and shared a few drinks over some C Body talk all while learning a few new things.
Pics are always good to have to share, so here are some taken from Saturday.
When speaking for some time with Pete who had the DeSoto Fire Flight in one of the buildings, he told me the cars in his building won last year. Some from the last year winners.
Some from the "modified cars" building...
A couple Forward Look stunners on the show field....
After fighting some fuel line problems on the way to the show, our pal Scott made it to the show. (You did well on the grill you picked up for the 4-speed car)
Again thanks to all who have been sharing pictures from the event. I would of been there with my 81 and parked with you guys. But duty called and they couldn't trust just anyone else to cook the wedding.
