Martin, Michigan 1975

Wow, a drivers name and a single main sponsor. Amazing what happened once big money flooded the scene. How many racers can run out of the their garage at that level these days?

That's the old Mopar Missile team. Carlton bought it & put his name. Then built a Dart Sport. He built several cars before his tragic death. There is a thread on it here. Don Carlton/ Mopar Missile. He was killed in one of those very dangerous Hemi Colts

Sox & Martin parked at a Hotel. Remember seeing the race teams at hotels. Now we have Motorhomes at the local track. My times have changed

Kenny Hahn. This is the ex Don Carlton Gold Colt that was wind tunnel tested. I posted pics of it in the wind tunnel a few post back.

Ronnie Sox. They had two of these. I think this was a small block car. The other car had a Hemi & ran IHRA Mountain Motor

Reid Whisnant staging the Dodge Daytona. This was the last Gen II Hemi car to be competitive in Pro Stock. Used a Dick Landy 500 inch
