Very interesting pic. In 1974 Chrysler officially pulled out of NHRA Pro Stock due to the unfair weight breaks. So before then if you ran a Dodge or Plymouth & received finiacial help from Chrysler you had to put Dodge or Plymouth on the quarter panel. So in the first pic you can see the Billy the Kid Demon has Dodge. In the second pic it says Independent. I've been told he was not happy about loosing his funding & did this to show Wally Parks the President of NHRA his displeasure. In other words saying. Hey Wally thanks to your unfair stupid rules I lost my factory deal & now have to go it alone. That's what Independent meant LoL
