My 1968 Chrysler Newport Custom

The car has potential, as soon as I seen it I had to have it, my first car. Might not be considered a classic or worth $50000 but how many newports do you see anymore, most of them are used for demo derbys or just rotted away. Some people might say oh it's a boat and too heavy, my CR-V weighs 4000 pounds too. Everybody has chargers, challengers, a handful of cudas, camaros, etc.... This is my ratrod, this car can take a beating. Everybody has a car they belong with this is my pick.
I love that line of logic, and I'm digging the car too. It looks cool the way it is now......keep on keeping on!

Great to see another '68 being rescued! Car looks great, and is coming along very nicely. Keep up the good work!

Update on the Newport took the valve covers off replacing springs and lifters, new cam getting put in with a double roller with some headers full 2.5 inch exhaust. Gonna take a few weekends but it will get there.

Nice car! Always loved the slab sides and especially the fastop coupes.Keep up all the work and eventually you'll get there!Seems like your coming along pretty quickly!

Bought a new radiator, went with Engineered cooling products $249 shipped. Takes the stock tranny cooler fittings from original radiator. Just going to make a fan shroud for it. Very well made for the price. Called them up and they did say they are manufactured in China, they design it and China manufactures. Packaged well no damage what so ever.

Very cool car and I like the way you think. What cam you going with? What carb and intake? Doing a great job and again, very cool car!!

It is the comp cams 21-223-4 kit, its the 268H XE, the radiator has a lifetime warranty on it, I asked the guy about it he said they pay for return shipping and will send a new one, they pressure test them in their shop before shipment. They have a shop called entrophy radiators also that makes radiators in house but they want $500, just cant afford it, I thought I would give it a shot, they are not like champion claiming they will cool 750 Hp. At least they were honest, I bought a $400 piece of garbage radiator that was supposed to be custom made it turned out to be complete crap, looked like a 5 year old welded it. But the guy gave me my money back so I won't bother saying who it was.

Whoever welded up that Chninese radiator really knew how to lay down a bead. . .

Cool car!! If you have the funds, get 3" exhaust if you can with DynoMax Ultra Flo mufflers.
