I don't know much about points distributors yet, but does this one look worn down? I haven't checked the gap but the points arm that rides the cam looks worn down. The cam looks worn too but again, I don't know what they're supposed to look like.
That is worn..get some of this stuff and put a thin film on the cam when you replace the points.

Got the engine in…had a few ignition issues with a cheap Chinese points distributor (just put new points on the old one) and a bad coil but now runs pretty good (still need to dial in the carb).

Also got a new set of tires on it replacing the 25+ year old Kelly’s…no more flat spots. Decided it needed white walls out.

Next step was to get the interior as squared away as I could. Cleaned and prepped floor with POR15, laid down some sound deadener and installed the carpet.

Also threw some foam on the roof too. I do have some buckets that are with the rear seat at an upholstery shop.

Car is pretty much down for the winter now. I next will be plugging these EGR holes that weren’t on the 318’s heads so it has a bit of an exhaust leak until then.

I like the last picture the best (straight-on front view). Your care and knowledge are evident in this car. I hope to see you at some Wisconsin car shows this year. I never got to my '70 Fury III and '04 GTO in 2024. I hope that 2025 is better. Send me a PM and we can coordinate events for the season.
