Couple crappy pictures of my current large barge. I grew up in these cars, and learned to drive in them. My wife doesn't understand why I like this old sled more than my A bodies, pickup, Durango, etc.

Dang! That thing looks clean! The lower parts of the car are in the shadows, is it really that clean? What's the history on it?

Remove the vinyl and add some dog dishes and I'd definitely make it my DD.

Going to be putting a set of the "red ring" 69-71 era Dodge dog dishes on as soon as I paint a set of wheels and get some new rubber. As for the vinyl, it's almost perfect, with just one small spot of something white that doesn't seem to wash off. About 80 percent of the paint is still the factory stuff. Waiting for my appointment with the exhaust guy late next week, adding dual exhaust with an H pipe.

Two or three BB size holes in the drivers rocker, one BB size hole in drivers quarter. About 80 percent original paint. Only the drivers front door appears to have ever been painted, from the molding down. Has a few minor dings. I am the fourth owner. Car was bought new in Duncansville, PA. Second owner planned to make a "race car" out of it and lost interest and money (thankfully). Second owner then sold it to his buddy, who immediately yanked the 383 from this 24,000 mile car to put in his pickup (stupid bastard!!). Third owner knows I am heavy into Mopars, and called to see if I was interested in the body, otherwise he was going to advertise it for a derby car (STUPID BASTARD!!!). I could NOT let this happen, so I rescued it. Currently she has a mildly built 318 that I had lying around, and eventually she will get the 71 383 that I have rebuilt for her.

Car was still wearing a pair of Firestone Deluxe Power Cushion H78-15 tires on the rear, has no wear on the drivers door striker, no pedal pad wear, and I power washed the factory cosmoline off of the lower control arms and clear coated them. Yeah, I'm fairly certain that's the original mileage.

This is a very clean car and very typical of its day in all the appointments. Dark brown and dark green met. are great colors for these cars IMHO. Thanks for saving. Those typical cars in low mileage original condition are important to save.

Duncansville ? Was that Suburban Dodge?

This car has something special about it, I'm feeling the same way. Would skip any convertible for this. :)

Everyone's settled on the color of this car for a change.

There's a guy on moparts who pulled the 440/727 combo out of nicely optioned (his words) 70' Chrysler 300 coup to put into a "fake" (my words) superbee (it was born a Coronet 440). I'm not sure if the 300 was road worthy although in the pic he posted it appeared to be. Anyway I wanted to throw up. This kind of makes me feel the same way.

After all it is a Coronet 440. :laughing4: But seriously if I had the idea of cloning a Super Bee I'd use something that was actually used in such a model.
