Seems the PO had a business where he leased out cars to movies and tv shows. Mine is in an upcoming movie called "Brave the Dark", coming in December

You can see it at the beginning of the trailer, blue 69 Polara

Yeah, hope it gets to theaters and not just specialty movie places

Mine was in the movie Gotti filmed in Cincinnati before I purchased it. It was only parked in a few scenes for time period correctness.

Cool, we should be in the IMDB Movie Car Database any day now :)

I thought for a little while that my car was in "The Infiltrator" but I can't connect the dots between the car being titled in Wisconsin up until 2019 and it being on location in Florida for filming in 2015. Can't see a '66 Newport driven or trailered that far just for 2 seconds of screen time in the final scene of the movie . . . but who knows. It sure LOOKS like my car :) Congrats on your car's fame and notoriety!

Check out that IMDb movie car website it lists every car in every movie and tv show, including cars in the background etc., you might see it there

yes, it was the IMCDb that made me aware of a Newport like mine being in any movies at all. The Infiltrator features a black 66 Newport 2 door, but I'm pretty sure it's not my car.

amazing website isn't it? Someone had a lot of time on their hands :) :)

Very cool. One of my car was in a local commercial once and also wound up on the news while out on the Woodward Cruise.

No damage to the car?, a lot can go wrong leasing cars out to movie studios. Someone posted on fb about their '66 Polara which was used for a movie recently, it's now in a shop getting repainted due to damage during filming.

I work in the business. Renting out picture cars is part of it and I can tell you that yes cars do get damaged. Your car can get used for many scenes, but after they edit the film, much is cut out. I always say if you love your car don't rent it, it's kinda a gamble. As seen here riging up cameras. Sometimes there just background cars. I will say most of time it's OK, no problems, but it happens. Check your car over when it gets back. Ask what there doing with it, background, drive by or hero car.

Cool. Mine was supposed to be in a flashback scene, set in the 70s, A Man named Otto. I don’t have the actual scene because it ended up on the cutting room floor. I was so disappointed, but here’s some pictures. They put period correct license plates and stickers on the windshield.
