The nice Fed X man came by today. He said I've got something for you as he handed me this big box. I said oh you don't have to do that. He said but I insist. I said well since you insist I guess I'll take the box of new parts this time.

Ok finally a couple of updates. I now have all the chrome back on the truck. And I have been reading on some Facebook groups about putting the older style 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern brake rotors on the later trucks that have the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. Deffinately a lot of misinformation that I had to sort through. However after reading several dozen comments several said all that was needed was to get rotors from an older D series & install them. So I have this old 84 B150 van. I checked Rock Auto. Same part # as the 84 D150 pick up. So I pulled those rotors. The spindle on the van is about an inch shorter. Yes I was concerned. It slid right onto the trucks spindle. I used the vans wheel bearings & the washer & cotter pin went in good. Rotor has good runout. It looked good. So I got a wheel from the van. Put it on & went for a short drive at 35 mph. It felt good. No bake pull or wobble. Turned around & came back. Hub felt good. No heat. Lugs still tight. So I guess I can do the other side. Have I done something wrong. Anyone run into this swap before. Next time out & going to go further & 55 mph.

what are you doing to the springs ? there will need some reworking to get the spring rap out . could just clamp them up on the front half of them . i did these and have not hopped the tires yet , of course i added leafs to mine from a b350 . but that 9 1/4 354 cone with 30'' tall tires helps , lol .

Already fixed that. I fabbed up some old school traction bars by cutting them down & putting a spacer up. That fixed the spring wrap up

Ok I got the 84 B150 van rotors install on the truck. And I bought new 15x6 wagon wheels & new P225-70R15 radials. Also a new set of chrome spinners & a 1 5/8’s beauty rings. If they don’t look right I’ll get a pair of 2 inch. The ole truck is comming together nicely.

Got the spinners & trim rings installed today along with the new wheels & tires. With 225’s up front & 265’s out back she has a nice rake. I found a frozen caliper while doing this so I need to fix that. Always something. I need to come up with a decal for the center of the spinner. Open to suggestions. Thinking R/T or Rams Head logo

doesn't hurt to do both calipers . it looks good for white spokes , that p/u would look great with dukes of hazard american racing victor's on it , 7's on its nose n 8's on the butt or bigger .

Yea I thought about those. I think I’ll stay with these. I have a 10 inch set I put on when I want to go to the track
