My Imperial le baron coupe 1971 restored and just sold

Sad But True [with apologizes to METALLICA] that’s my Avatar TX9 ‘71 LeBaron, bought off an Old Imperial Club Listing from a super nice FUSELAGE Imperial collector Charlie, in Phoenix AZ. Daly City Chrysler Plymouth Dealer where TX9 sold New is at the southern border of my Hometown: The City and County of San Francisco. Charlie included all the history paperwork and truly LOVED this Fusie [Avatar Photo is from AZ Car Show] I daily drove WALTER [as Charlie named ride after Walter P. Chrysler] My only addition was the NIXON/AGNEW ‘72 Decal I re-created / laminated / mounted on left side of bumper- always got a wry smile here in Marin County California.

You may be right. I had it as a 71 but remember that being questioned.

I love these black imps. Just have not figured out which year I like the most.

71 was completely different from the 72. The 72 went with vertical tail lights at the end of the rear fenders and vertical coach lamp style turn/running lights on the front. The 72 and 73s were virtually the same car except for a different grill and they bolted those ugly *** tits onto the '73.

The 1972 Imperials received a somewhat new skin, along with a general mild redesign of the C-body fuselage exterior styling across all makes. An even longer hood, more rounded body sides, a new roofline in the rear with differently styled C-pillars and rear window opening, plus the other styling cues mentioned in the post above.

it was a 72 for sure. not only the grille and bumper is 72 but also the design of the turnsignal, the hood etc

That tuxedo color combination is sure a very rare one. The only one I´ve seen so far is this
owned by @IOLA KID . Maybe it is the same car
