Nice car, good to find one not on the market... otherwise a flipper may have gotten in a premium on you.

Well, the Vikings choked... but, still got some "Lebaron" emblems placed

on both sides working in garage...lousy weather here.

Ah!! The simple things that make a HUGE difference.. looking better everyda..
I'm hoping by the time I get Big Red finished with my vision for her ...another Imperial will be around to buy and work on...the last couple months have been so much fun...they are really a work of art and incredible to drive... and the attention Big Red gets from the general public is very satisfying.

Not to be a smart ***, but if you wanted to get one rebuilt, why didn't you just send them yours while it was laid up over the winter?

He got it in spring, remember? The guy was itching to drive it, being soooo close when he got it. And I think he was trying to get a new one originally.

It's an inconvenience for my mechanic to have BiG Red crippled at his shop waiting for my rebuild to come back...a space issue.

The brake booster rebuild kept her crippled in garage for 5 weeks...that was hard when it failed right at delivery...no driving right away...I want to keep her mobile at all costs going forward...unless eventually an engine rebuild, etc...nothing big on the horizon...

I hope Rare Parts builds it like new...yes I can do some work...But, I leave the greasy work for the experts...

For my own curiosity, why are you having an OE idler arm rebuilt when you can pick one up from the local parts store? Or is it they don't sell a reproduction part?

This has been the hardest part to date to find...But, not unreasonable. A local salvage yard had one they would have to lift a 73 in the mud and remove for about same price as Murray Park. I went with MP as I plan on more Imperials in my life and started a parts relationship. And apparently they have tons of Imperial parts.

They is "he". As far as I know, MP is a one man band (although I believe one of his daughters helps, as school allows).
