Wow, you sure don't mess around, this car has changed quite a bit since you got it, and definitely for the better!
Think my computer tripled my photos above . ..I forgot that I want to replace that fuzzy furry rear deck panel where speakers go...maybe find similar vinyl from roof to freshen up...there's speakers hidden under the panel...wth?
She's coming along nicely.

Aha. The 1/4 window looked a tad formal for an Impala in the first pic and my mind went for '66.
Have fun with that duo... I can't tell you how many people look directly at an Imperial emblem and say "Impala".

Took a couple months...finally an Imperial steering wheel to replace the wooden GT one Big Red came with...not color correct but fully functional with horn and I'll take it for now.

So much better than what was on there
We had to use parts from a steering column I picked up from a member here and meld with a wheel from Ebay...very Frankenstein like but it feels better with larger diameter wheel.

Here's a better pic. A little bit of red in the doors to change out eventually. And I'd like to replace the white faux fur on rear deck with white vinyl and speakers. *The previous owners are probably spinning in their graves with what I am undoing of theirs.
Are they dead? Or is this going to kill them?
An Illinois doctor ordered it new in 1972 I have the paperwork with his signature, etc...he passed in the 80's...the most previous owner passed right before I purchased it while it was on consignment in Illinois...I believe he was the one that put the clown red embellishments on it that I have slowly been neutralizing.
Thanks. Today is exactly the 2 month mark since Big Red was delivered to me. It seems longer because she sat and I couldn't drive her with no brakes for awhile.I'm betting the first owner is smiling down at your work
