My new `67 Imperial Crown Coupe!

One more thing checked off the list!

I love checking things off "the list" The liners look great and the dual snorkle is a nice touch that really does help. I put a Edelbrock and a dual snorkle on Jazebelle ..... Next will be the HP manifolds and dual exhaust ..... should be pushing TNT level after that.

Thanks for the pics. I'm jealous of your dual snorkel air cleaner. Gettin' one of them is on my increasingly long list.

Also: wow! Clean tires!

I'm also giving the Manual prep a try and decide how to go on with machines. As it seems though no. 7 is not part of the offerings from the German Meguiar Distributor here. Been searching around now for a while.

Got a friend who's better connected to them, if nothing turns up I'll try to get it from the US.

I had an original AM radio modernized with new guts so that it is AM/FM and jack for iPods/mp3 player. To do this the dash speaker had to be changed out and this little pair was suggested by the guy that did the conversion. I posted his info in the past but let me know if you want his contact number. I have to say that I am 100% positive that I am the first person to mess with anything under the dash, its truly immaculate! Here's the original 6 X 9 dash speaker. I should also mention that the radio, speakers, fader and power antenna worked flawlessly in this car and anything I take out will be boxed up and saved. The guy that did the conversion was no carpenter and I think he was also assuming that it was a much smaller speaker so I remade the mount for the front speakers out of a much more rigid material.

Here's the hole where it was. I got the fronts in, the heating system put back together and the new radio in. That's when I removed the rear seats so I could run the wire for the rears which I haven't bought yet. Originally this car only has one rear speaker and a rear defogger taking up the hole where the other speaker would go. I no longer have rear air...
later years they made a bracket that would allow for both but I borrowed one from a friend (CLover) and there was no way it was working on a '67/8. I then verified that no such part existed in the '68 Parts Book and no mention was made in the FSMs.
Im not going for audiophile quality sound here, just want to be able to hear the Tigers play on the FM band and play music from my MP3 on long trips such as Carlisle. I'll get some decent rear 6 X 9s. I hooked it up and the fronts worked.

Here's the new radio installed, looks like it belongs there, right?

Flawless! :) I like the hide-away-door. Who did the modernization and how much did you spend, if I may ask?

I found a local guy that did the conversion for me and I would be glad to hook you up with him if you're interested. It wasn't cheap but I would have likely spent about the same money for a nice aftermarket system. It was $500 + by the time I put rear speakers in it.

Wow, $500! I will definitely keep the stock radio but modernized! But this have to wait, a lot to do first :/

But I will come back to you when it's time! Thanks!

It may have been closer to $600 including the front speakers.
The good news is I have rear speakers now, she bought them for me for my birthday and installed them! I was sure I had a keeper before but she just keeps getting better and better!
