My new Daily driver

Finally got around to replacing the ‘95 LHS that gave up on me a couple of years ago now. I’ve been using my 1 ton van as my winter daily driver ever since but I finally found a great deal on the one I’ve been holding out for.
Here’s my new to me as of tonight 2004 300M!:)
It has only 108k miles on the clock and is in really good condition. I’m more excited than I thought I would be.
Finally got my own @BIGBARNEYCARS !!!

Nice score...

If it had the headroom of the 95, I'd be jealous

Very nice car, you'll be happy, I wish I would have kept mine, just didn't drive it enough to justify keeping it. You'll really like the speed adaptive steering on interstates.

Jesus, how much more headroom do you need Jeff??? I’m a little under 6’2’’ and my wife said she couldn’t even see my noggin over the head rest as she followed me home.:poke:

Great car Matt - has the all aluminum 3.5 liter engine that goes another 100K easily with proper maintenance. The maintenance related timing belt, w/p etc. items and fresh coolant will do the job as suggested by @david hill are spot on. Unlike the earlier 3.5 engines that were iron block, aluminum cylinder heads that did not have interference motors, yours is an interference one so doing that maintenance is important.
Those 300Ms handle and ride great and will put a smile on your face every time you drive one.
First thing I gotta do is get a factory service manual then because I’d like to get another 100k out of it.

Congratz They are wonderful cars we have an 2002 300m special with over 200k. It still drives wonderfully

It depends on how tall you sit in the saddle.
I am 6’1” but am short legged. I wear a 30 - 32” inseam.

That's why I like a flat bottom steering wheel.
Just park the car before you eat the pill Alice

I still love checking in here and hearing from all you guys not raised in bubble wrap and who didn't learn everything they know about a car on TV.

Saw a sticker from a buddies dealership under the hood so I reached out to him for any service history. Turns out the timing belt and water pump were done 4 years ago at 81k miles.
