Back when I was 16 working I'm my uncles shop there was a little old lady. She would call once a month or so. Her car wouldn't start. The battery was always dead. It got drove two blocks a month to the corner market. It was a 77 New Yorker. Blue and blue leather. 30 k on the clock. The 440 would run rough from not being drove. We'd take it out north of town n blow the cobs out. That was 96 or 97 maybe. Years later I found that car. Two miles from my house in a pasture. Still 30k on the clock. $200 later it was in my driveway. The paint is faded. The fuel tank rusted out. The thermoquad got replaced with a Holley. The lean burn replaced with electronic ignition. New tires. It will run 140 mph all day. I've had this car for ten years or so now. I will own it the rest of my days. My 77 New Yorker. Ole blue. Has 74k on the clock now.
