Ever see Sofia in her natural blonde state? Gorgeous! I first saw her in Four Brothers with Mark Walberg. My Daughter told me she was a regular on Modern Family, so I started watching. Enjoyed it!

guess I didn know what I have been missing.
after these six minutes, I think I get her role on the show.
She does have surprisingly good comedic chops (timing, line delivery, jumping in a pool so not afraid to look messy, etc) though .. not a common quality for really "pretty" girls it seems.
Aside: I see these people and am surprised at their ages .. perhaps because it reminds me of my own age (and why there is an "old man" in the mirror when I shave)
Guess who else is 50 years old .. last week in fact. Born in Texas but grew up in West Virginia.
I am gonna try to go even lighter on the clues because even I recognize this lady from her picture as a youngster. Same smile with the dimples, the eyes -- that's all still there as a middle aged woman,
Actor by trade.
Been in starring and supporting roles, both in movies and television. Lotta range -- superheroes, super spies, current day pieces to period pieces, comedic love interests -- heck, she's even hawkin' credit cards right now.
While maybe not the biggest star, she'd done enough work, well enough to win awards, and long enough to have earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Why the success? One word is she's "likeable" as an actor. Apparently that one quality will help keep you workin' -- even pitchin' products on TV - as an actor for a long time.
She also makes news for her personal life, some of it the ugly tabloid fodder stuff. Her failed marriage with an A-list feller (who himself has been in the news recently about a renewed romance with an ex-squeeze of his). A stalker was after her and family. She's also got activism in her background that folks either love/hate her for.
To me, again I recognize her from this circa-1980 photo. Answer after work today if nobody posts who she is before that.

but now that you have her, if you go back nearly 30 years and look for a significant fictional "character" sorta from her past, he'll pop out

She also shares the last name of a guy who was known to be quite a maverick in his day.

Yup, there is enough there -- the car, how it appears to be equipped, the era of the photo, and of course fact there is a lady in such a car -- in context of all that picture conveys.
I only knew ONE name .. there may have been others, but I only know one. Turned out to be that name when I chased her history.
Younger people (than me, by 20 years) might struggle though .. we'll see.

The series of pictures covers a bit over 40 years -- "old" Jen is going fine.
