Name that girl

1232 is Shirley Muldowney back before she became a pro racer.
Shirley "Cha-Cha" Muldowney indeed. I didnt know her face, but remembered she had dark hair. She had a contenporary .. a blonde lady .. but her name escaped me. So I locked in on that Muldowney was the hunch.,

The pic as the only clue was worth a thousand words. The dark haired lady, in a mid-60's Corvette (shape of car, bowtie on the mirror), equipped with "slicks" that say "drag racer", it had to be Muldowney.

I followed the "Corvette-Muldowney" hint (I did NOT google the pic .. I used that search term with my hunch of the lady's name) to a H.A.M.B. Site to this post with two pictures, including our hint pic (lower left), of Shirley.

Anyway, Shirley is 81 now. Long retired but her contributions to motorsports, her "firsts", ,etc. are numerous. I did follow her Top Fuel "pink rail", during Championship season in NHRA in '77.

Ok .. gloves are off -- this one will be harder. :)

Actor. Age 66 (dang..) now. Ohio girl by birth..

Picture of her is age 16-17 or so (early 1970's) ... her adult features are hopefully recognizable to you. But ... she still young enough that it aint a slam dunk she's recognizable when she became a star around 1980 or so.

Surely you've seen her on the big screen mainly, some TV though. In case your really don't recognize her, and to stop you from throwing your hands up and "cheating", one other "trail" to follow.

Her co-starring role in an early 1980's romantic movie, and particularly how she and the one-time A-list male co-star (he's 72 now - dang) did the the closing scenes of that movie

Add the accompanying song (in the closing scenes, and stand alone on the music charts), the movie is considered among the most memorable (American Film Institute, their "Top 100" list of greatest love stories [AFI's 100 Years...100 Passions - Wikipedia] in the history of film.

To this day, even though I have seen this movie 100 times, I still like this ending scene -- and heck the whole movie it great IMHO. The romance is a plot line .. the performances were great.

Suggestion, if you don't know her face, the movie that matches the clue IS on the list of 100 in the link above, in the top half. Then, you'll be narrow down/confirm a hunch, and then hopefully find the girl.

IF neither her face nor the AFI list help get you there? Well this one is gonna be hard to get.

Debra Winger

Great ID of this actress Mike!

FYI for those new to this thread, unless my memory is failing, the SOP (standard operating procedure) for this thread is to not name the actress, instead PM the OP to verify your guess if necessary, otherwise just say that you got it w/o revealing the name for others still guessing or who haven’t seen the updates yet.

The OP will provide the name later.

No offense intended

@tallhair is correct as to the group "rules" for this thread.

yes, "first to name" wins ... which means game is over.

however, because we all see these new games at different times, our sleuthin' skills/interest varies, etc., people sometimes get the girl immediately, tell everybody they know who it is, offer a few hints, etc., BUT they choose to let the game run for everybody else -- and/or they PM the OP to confirm their guess.

the OP's decide thrmselves how long they pay attention to the girl THEY started... usually after 2-3 days OP's can tell if anybody interested has seen it/said they know, so OP "ends" the game by "officially" naming the girl for everbody at the same time.

the point ... its a "free" forum. nobody is trying to tell people what to do in this thread. all most folks wanna do is just have a little fun, sometimes involve our families, and maybe learn something we didnt know about familiar faces.

sure its got a "competitive" element -- first one "wins" -- but thats not the real goal for most folks.

so again there aint no "rules" ... just ways to include folks interested in the activity -- based on those folks' feedback who regularly participate -- who said what we could all do to make it more fun/easier to play.

Sorry. It’s been a while since the last time this thread was up, you gave some good clues, and I was a little amazed that I actually had an answer.

Age 64 now. South Carolina gal by birth. Model and Actor, mainly the latter and more in big-screen theatrical productions.

Still working, has had a long, successful career. The movie she's probably most known for was a co-starring role in the mid-1990s (her male co-star in that movie, age 71 now, has been in the news recently .. in an alleged bad way).

Pic is her in her early 20's, still it looks enough like her that there is only one more (indirect, but still very relevant to this girl's professional career) clue: "Déjà vu -- all over again .. and again .."

Answer tomorrow evening if no one posts her before then.

Amazing how one complaint can shut down the production of a movie. Think of how much that costs the company and all the people working on it.

Not sure what he did or said, but goes to show you how women are easily weaponized.

#1,254. Andie MacDowell

EZ one .. I guess.

Her biggest Hollywood movie was Groundhog Day with Bill Murray.

She also, because she obviously has a luxurious head of hair, did L'Oreal hair color commercials/print ads. She ironically made "news" last summer when she let her natural grey come out... of all the things to talk about people loved her/hated on her for that.
