New Game.
I actually had held this one since the beginning to this game years ago.
Respectful request?
This one is very unpleasant as a back story. I hope/asking us to try to stay away from/not dwell on the unpleasantness/circumstances of her death, please?
Died in 1969.
Age 26. Actor and model. Born in Texas.
Career was short, some controversial elements (irrespective of how she died) mixed into a few short years in the spotlight.
Pretty face, sexy girl roles mostly, getting more serious recognition near the end of her life. Still more known as a pretty face than a serious, talented thespian.
After modeling gigs/beauty pageants as a teenager, she broke into acting as an extra in the mid 1960's.
One of the stars (in a movie she and her friends were hanging around trying to be extras) noticed her for her striking looks, took a liking to her, they started dating, introduced her around, got her on with his agent, etc.
Little by little, she made friends, did some TV, bigger movie roles, and then a couple of mainstream movies. Bigger "pretty girl" parts that also eventually allowed her to act, be funny, do physical action (stunts/comedy) and dramatic stuff.
One I could see/did at a local theater back then as a lad was a Dean Martin movie (old Deano was a secret agent).
The other one, i could
not see as a lad, was an ensemble piece, that was rated "X" back then ("PG" today, btw, .. times have changed). It was a best selling book, made into a movie, it had sex, drugs, betrayal, etc. All the trashy stuff in Hollywood at the time. Bombed at the box office, but got her noticed (she did a nude scene).
Married a guy in the film business, he himself with a burgeoning career as a director, and then senseless tragedy.
55 years later, its still talked about. My mid-thirties age kids know this story ... it was
that big/heinous. I am old enoug to remember it, even though I was in elementary school, when it happened
Below, age 16-17, one with her modeling start, and the other HS Graduation.
Answer in a few days, or whenever it stops getting traction.
