Upgrading my ‘66 Newport single chamber power brake system to a ‘67 dual chamber one. NAPA sells the boost module and MC at a reasonable price. Anyone done this ?

If your existing booster is good, you don't need to swap that out.

NAPA is probably as good as any to buy a new MC.

It's a simple job, I've done a few. Inline tube sells a conversion with new lines and a tee and that will save some time and trips to the parts store. 1965-66 Dodge C-Body Dual Master Conversion M/C Lines w/Block, OE Steel

Bench bleed the new MC and bolt it on with the new lines and tee. Bleed the brakes and you're done.

Many thanks, got the lines on order and my. Booster is bad.

Hang on to your old booster. It can be rebuilt by Booster Steve or another reputable rebuilder to better than new; its always good to have a spare on hand and your booster is probably original to the car.

thanks, I got ahold of them. Question, they want 400 plus shipping to rebuild or sell a booster. NAPA sells them for 110, Rock Auto around 350. Any comments, thanks.

It's hard to beat the NAPA price... If it were me (I'm cheap) I'd try it.

I just looked at NAPA and "call for store for availability" jumps out at me. From past experience and a bit of insider info from a couple friends that worked for NAPA, that means they may not be able to get it. It's worth a try though... Just be sure to get a price and delivery date before ordering.

since I need one for something I'm trying to sell I just stopped at Napa...those are obsolete part #'s (and prices) that still are on the website...the store owner said we can R&R yours...and he called on it...4 month turnaround...I asked if that was Cardone and he admitted it was....so evidently whatever reorganization process Cardone is going through still isn't complete

Thanks for the info. Just to confirm, My 66 booster with a single chamber MC will work with a ‘67 MC with a dual chamber. If so, I’m sending my ‘66 booster out for rebuild.
