Need 68 Polara 2 door measurements

My wife and I are looking at houses, and I obviously need to make sure the garage/shop is big enough for my Polara! But my Polara is currently in storage about 100 miles from where I live right now, was hoping one of you kind folks could give me some quick width and length measurements, since my storage unit also has all of my furniture and junk in it and I doubt my brother would be able to get an accurate measurement, and I don't want to buy a house and find the garage isn't big enough! Mine is a convertible and its mid-restoration so it has no top, so I can't put it outside :-( Thank you in advance!

Mine is not around to measure. Either but per the literature (which is a for a four door, but should be close).
Overall length 219"
Overall width 80".

This about the same dimensions as my 2000 extenda-cab Chevy pickup

Thanks a bunch Of the two houses we really liked, both had garages more than big enough for it But there was one that we were both iffy on, one look at the garage and it was a big NOPE, wouldn't get the car in there and have room to work on it!

At least your priorities are where they should be. You should also make sure the ceiling is high enough for a lift.

Wow your car is even longer than my Fury! In my last house, I had a double car garage which was just long enough to fit the Fury, but no clearance to do any work. So .. I bought four wheel dollies so I could move the car and put the car in the garage diagonally which gave me great access. My wife wasn't overly impressed having to park her car out in the weather.

Funny in my neighborhood I'm the only one with a 3 car extended garage. When I built the house had to make sure the 300 fit with plenty of room to walk around! Couldn't get the builder to vault the garage tho for a lift..

One of my neighbors rented a concrete saw, cut a hunk of his floor out and dug a pit. He poured concrete side walls, put in a sump pump, a concrete floor and wired it for power, lights and air. The top edge was 2" angle iron which he spanned with 2x12 fir. He had a couple reinforced steel "planks" which would support a hydraulic jack. It was a very well thought out pit, but as in all really nice things, it was illegal.

I think I measured 17' 9" on the ol 68 fury 2 door... doesn't fit in my garage :/

Yeah, when we started looking my wife said it had to have a decent yard and a good kitchen, so I said it had to have a garage big enough for the Polara and yesterday we looked at one she kinda liked, but she took one look at the garage and said "Nope, no way your car will fit in here!" So yeah, I got pretty lucky in the wife department. Ex wife was always trying to get me to sell the Polara, the first week I knew my wife she said I was never allowed to sell the Polara Pretty much when I knew she was a keeper!

Well, we accepted the counter offer on a house Now it's just a matter of it passing inspection and appraisal, but the garage is big enough for at least two if not three C bodies side by side We got a USDA loan though so our closing date is June 15th :-( So it's going to be at least another 2 months before I get the car moved in there and can actually start working on it again!

Good deal. You can never have enough garage space.
Until it is time to move again and you have filled that space.
Last time I moved, which was only two miles, half of my moving quote was for my garage stuff..... I ended up moving my garage stuff myself.

That and the formula for required project space is:
Required space = available space + 1 So even if I had a 3,000 sq ft garage, I'd have it full of crap in no time! I think shortly after we move in, I am putting the Polara on stands and pulling the subframe and front clip off and dropping the rear end so I can do all the bushings and repainting of all the components, but also if I spread it all out in the garage it'll reduce the chances of my wife coming home to find I've added to the projects

I designed a garage bay with a lift with an attached shop and then added a house to it.
