Need schooling on how to find parts numbers in parts manual.

I have read the front part of the 68’ Chrysler parts manual and unless I need more coffee, I get lost on some items or maybe no part number exists.

Looking at the diagram below, I am trying to locate a part number for the retainer 8-50-163 however cannot find it the code section at the front. Should I be looking in the rear of the manual?

Some of that '68 Parts manual on MyMopar is missing pages. It seems to have C-body sections and illustrations missing.

Take a look in the '67 parts manual. It may or may not have your part, but it's worth a shot.

That’s a plastic/nylon part that might be found with Murray Park.

That little bugger is a beast to find. I was missing one, could not find it anywhere, and ended up making one. A couple of years later I found a NOS one from someone here on FCBO. They are plastic, and get very brittle.
