Need your help on spreadsheet

wow. live and learn.... a Plymouth Fury Snapper. At least, i guess, it was STILL badged as a Fury? maybe we can find a pic of a real one -- if any still exists after being named after a turtle.;)

seriously tho, raises a point of project scope.

couple days ago i ran across a referecne for a 1969-70 car, done by a dealer in Ohio or Michigan, called the "Plymouth Diplomat". It was a regular Fury (II or III) with Sport Fury badges...but it still was identifiable to a novice AS a Fury.

1. there may be a few loosely-sanctioned dealer/third party customizations hanging around out there from the Wild West days that MAY just have the make (Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler) lettering but NOTHING else except the $1.95 "whatever" NON-factory badge the customizer wanted....while interesting historical pieces maybe, perhaps the Chart work need NOT track all those down?

2. related, there may be FACTORY marketing initiatives --"spring specials", "special editions," etc. -- that came OUT of a Chrysler factory, or were done in conjunction with dealers/third parties under Chrysler sanctioning, that resulted in "one-off" cars that defy EZ identification by the "average Joe/Jane Honda"...dunno IF its worth finding and dealing with those handful of cars in the Chart work?

I ain't doing it. LOL...
All these dealer and regional specials I have seen are just aftermarket doodads slapped on to existing factory models with the badgng the car had when it left the factory.
I doubt the lot boy removed the Fury III badging when sticking on the Snapper badges.
Can't account for dealers debadging legitimate models by the factory.

Looking pretty darn good Stan! Now if you can get Joey to put it in the proper place, so any new comers or visitors know exactly what a c body is!
Would be great

We've been arguing since the forum was started on how to explain what is a C-Body to newcomers on the Home Page. Thanks to everyone who contributed, there it is.

Great Job, Stan. Maybe you should make some more spread sheets, just for the hell of it.

There is no Custom 880 in Canada in 1965/1966 they are called Polara 880. You should expand the spread sheet to include VIN prefixes so that people in the future will know that the Sport Fury ragtop they thought they owned was actually a Fury III.
I get tons of phone calls from customers wanting parts for their Sport Fury III's ! It would logical to expand the spreadsheet
to include all body types available in each model line...ie 1966 Fury I available in ....with the identifying VIN prefix. And if you really want to get carried away figure out how to do a link that you can clic on each car/model to take you to another page with info on that particular car...interior colours ,pictures ,options, production figures etc etc .That would be amazing !
