I'd drive that one just the way it is. That console looks to be sitting ok to me Gary, if anything the angle of that pic could be playing tricks on the eye.
It looked ok towards the rear but as your eyes travel towards the front of the console you can pick out a tilt and the front edge does appear to be lower on the drivers side of it. Yes lets see that fender tag.

Don't forget that that dash comes out to a point at the center, I think that's what you're seeing.

I think its safe to say its a legit console car, nice guy, pics are coming including the tag.

Although consoles didn't often show up on 4 door cars, they were available. Ford was putting optional bucket seats AND consoles in Country Squire, Fairlane Squire and even Falcon Squire station wagons as early as 1963, and consoles were standard on the 63-64 Ford XL 4 door hardtop. But still, as a kid in the early 70's, I was surprised to find out that a neighbor's 67 Valiant Signet 4 door sedan had bucket seats and console. I would expect that the console wouldn't have been that rare an option on 300 4 door hardtops in the 60's. There certainly wouldn't have been any reason not to offer it as an option. The Buick Wildcat was likely the closest direct competition to the Chrysler 300. Like the 300, the Wildcat was available as a convertible, 2 door hardtop and 4 door hardtop (no sedan was offered), and like the 300, the Wildcat was designed to be a full size car with a sporty appeal. Consoles were available in the 4 door Wildcat hardtops.

Fender tag says console, buckets, fender t.s., p.w., am/fm/8track, a.c., all tinted, 2.76 axle, red w/no vinyl and white/black interior.
Very nice and knowledgable Mopar guy has been using it as a daily when the weather permits for a few years and has gone through a lot of the systems to make it a driver. He's a 300 club member and is actually building a 300 Hurst tribute vert currently and his son is over on the dry dock and is into cop cars. He says he bought it from an old lady and it has 70 some odd thousand miles on it. All that being said, it's kinda rusty. Here's a couple more pics.

Those pictures were purposely left out of the ad.

I do like the Hemi Orange/Chrome cover master cylinder, though.

I stand corrected, i lay my sword at your feet Matt. oh and i have never heard rust called hemi orange before, I will have to remember that when advertising rusty parts for sale ;)

I'm almost relieved that its as rusty as it is. Somebody should save it but it ain't gonna be me. If it were $1500 and Local it'd already be here.
