New guy here...just purchased a 1967 2 door New Yorker

I thought that was the NYer I saw on CL. I'm in the south hills of Pittsburgh, hope to see you around. 061.jpg

Welcome aboard. You can find a lot of parts out there for your car. EBay does have one seller who has one, also Murray B. Park, (great guy).

Ive made some progress on the New Yorker. All of the door jambs, trunk and under the hood are sprayed the color that it will be. I had to get some cheapo seat covers because the previous owner decided that Harbor Freight moving blankets were appropriate for that job. They aren't the best but they sure do beat the ripped and shredded factory seats. I took out the 2 inch lowering blocks and replaced them with 3 inch ones and it sits perfect for me. Next on the list are new shocks and an alignment. It is going to my friend's garage this weekend to get a new front seal on the tranny, brakes gone over and a tune up. It will be getting a nice coat of paint this winter along with a underhood detail/paint job.

I also photoshopped a set of Cragar 69 Deluxe rims onto it to see how I like the look of them.

I was also bored so I photoshopped it to see how it will look when it is eventually on air ride.

That's sittin' on the ground. What do you do for a living that you're that handy with photoshop?

I've got my NYer in the garage doing all of the brake lines. I had a bit of a delay for about 3 weeks when I injured my hand. I've got new lines bent up to go to all of the wheels now I just have to do the front to rear line. I'm using Ni-Copp line. It's price, but it's easy to work with.

When the brakes are done I'm putting new fuel lines in and installing the new fuel tank.

It's coming along. I probably should start a project thread, but I'd rather be working on it.:eek:s_dancing2:

I have a 4 year degree in Graphic Design but currently make more money delivering to Sheetz stores than I did while working at a print/design shop. I basically just freelance design in my spare time now.

Delivering to...
As in this?

Convenience store deliveries. Suckiest job in the world. My condolences.

But it pays the bills!
So thank you for your working hard instead of going on the Dole.

:sSig_greetingsthor: ........... :welcome:

Nice New Yorker....! It looks great with the rear end down out of the wind, but doesn't need to go any lower. Forget about after market wheels. A set of Chrysler road wheels mounted on 235 70 15 whitewalls is the Is the best combo for this car. (IMHO).

And if that 361 is running good then leave it in there. The 440 may be impressive as far as bragging rights go. But will use a bunch more of priemum gas too. It's a cruiser, not a race car.

You might check with Legendary about the seat covers, I'm not sure if they offer them for your car. But if they do you can bet they will be nice.

Will.

Yeah, its not the best job but it will do until I find something better. Been doing it for 3 years now and between the 14 hour days, night shift, and all of the lifting my body feels like its 80, not 33.

I can say the exact same thing except for changing the 3 years for 35 years.

Does the driver disappear to get a coffee and take a 1/2 hr. crap while you do all the work or do you work together?

We work together. Ive been with a couple drivers that were completely worthless. One night I unloaded 1500 and some pieces to the driver's 200 pieces. It was miserable.

Well the 440 is close to being ready for the install. Just gotta put all the new seals in it and get everything torqued down.

Excellent! Did you put the air ride on it yet?
