New member from Saint Paul MN + My 1969 Plymouth Sport Fury project

Thanks for the photo Nick. Do you have a sway bar on the fury III? I just noticed mine does and if its a sport fury option I may have an extra one for ya (gotta check). My grandfather has always praised how this sport fury handled for a boat. I however, have not had the chance to decide for myself. You have a great lookin motor and trans. I'm not trying to push my parts on ya, just trying to help a c-body brotha out. Thanks for the info wollfen, I'll check it out.
Hmmm Sway Bar, I'll add that to my list, no my III doesn't have one, thats odd. I appreciate your help and offer, just gotta figure out what I need!

Well, I finally got my rear brakes after getting the run around and offered a refund on parts, from autozone. I ordered; rear wheel cylinders, hardware kit, auto adjusters, shoes, parking brake cables, and an ignition lock cylinder kit(wrong one unfortunately). And of course the lines were rusted so next I'll be running new lines from the mc. The most frustrating part is not being able to work on the vehicle daily, as I do not have the garage space currently. But that will change soon. For now, some progress is better than no progress.

I went away from the project one step closer to my goal of road worthiness. The best after thought from the weekend had to be the surprise my grandpa dug out of storage for the ol sport fury. :sSig_thanks: Gpa. CAM00022.jpgCAM00026.jpg

Even though the website stated the ignition would fit my application, it was incorrect. I have never taken apart a tumbler so this was an educational experience that I enjoyed either way. My camera died before I could take pictures of the completed rear brake assembly but I'm sure (ya all know what it looks like) I'll get some pics on my next visit.

keep up the steady work, as long as you do something regularly it will be back on the road before you know it.

OHHHH yeah 69 only lock cyl, antitheft stopgap before the 70 up column introduction, another uncle Sam micromanaging just like now but no internet to put it out there right away took 40 years to realise the headache they made for 69 owners. That lock is like $100 68 an earlier like $40.

There you go. I blame gm they introduced the column lock cylinder first (I think) forced ford and Chrysler to do something even then govt was kissing gm's ***.
