I will also have the rear window trim and glass when I’m done. Glass is free for the pickup. Make offer on the trim. Its really nice and bright anodizing is still very bright.

Two spots found; both at the base of the rear window. The rest is absolutely perfect!
The first is on the drivers side. I scraped it till I got to shiny metal and it didn’t appear to go through. There’s a body shop around the corner that will be pulling the glass so we can take a grinder to it and get it taken care of before we put the new top on. I’ll know better when the trim is pulled. Interestingly, I never saw evidence of this spot when the old top was on as apposed to the next one.
I thought this was going to be the problem as I could see the bubbles forming under the top. The shadow from the remnants of the old top make this one look much worse than it is. I got to shiny metal with my pocket knife with just a few scrapes. Like the other one, I’ll look at it again once the trim and remaining top are pulled.
The rest is just dirt.

For those inquiring minds, the filler in the C pillar is plastic filler on my car. It’s still even a little sticky from reacting with the glue.

Top looks to have been painted the dark metallic grey ( I forget the color ), with a definite line of the silver body color starting about 1/2 way down from the top. That was a surprise but I’m thinking that it has to do with the ASC sunroof being installed along with the top and having to ship the car to ASC. But I’m only speculating here. Regardless the reason, the top definitely has paint under the vinyl. Probably why the front of the roof at the Windsheild and drip rails are in such good shape.

we’re actually waiting on the proper tool to pull them without damaging them. They lost theirs at the shop and so have I. What are the odds?

Sorry..... I forgot to take pictures but they came out great. Just like the ones I did for my roadrunner about a month ago.
But here’s some pictures of my installing them on the sunroof panel itself.
My favorite work bench.... my wife asked if I’d be done soon. I told her I would. I love her.
I didn’t like the way the vinyl sat a little off from the bottom edge. So I took it back off carefully and re-glued it tight to the panel tight at the base. I also cut back the excess material to allow the rubber seal to sit flat to the channel where it is supposed to seat.
Here is the the back seal going on. One shot to get it right after I carefully put glue on both sides with a fairly small brush. You can see it in the two pictures above.
Again... one shot to get the rubber weather strip in
detail of the end of the rear panel seal going in. Ends are held with pop rivets.
slightly wider shot to show how it goes together.
and..... here is the rivet in. Put a good bit of glue and used a tiny clamp to hold it for about an hour. Perfect.

Working on the trim for the rear window. The original top the plug came from was black.
removed the black paint and masked the edge.
first comes the primer. paint will match the top....... tomorrow. Bit tired. Just finished redoing the wood on the terrace table and chairs for my wife’s Christmas present a few days ago..... and everything still hurts a bit.

That new vinyl on the roof looks great - but NOT easy!!!
I'm glad the sunroof on my Ram and Charger is glass and paint. Thank God Mopar doesn't use vinyl anymore. Lol
I just thought of something. The new vinyl top material is thicker than the old. I hope this isn’t a problem when I put the panel back in.
