Ole' crappola! Almost forgot to thank Catfish for the parts he sent. "Thanks" Catfish! You're a peach. :bighug:

You are welcome. Some of the other imperial stuff crosses over as well, so if you need something else I may be able to help.

More, more, more... Not sure why we are working on the underside after the car has been painted but we are just rolling with instructions. Hubby (Scott) has been taking the undercoating off to get to any rust that may be under it. For your viewing pleasure, I have posted some pics with comments. (I know how much you guys love pic. So here's your ****. (Can't believe I just said that, but it's something I've learned in the shop in the last two weeks..of my vacation) Positives: Found quarter panel trim in Cali, found taillight on ebay (cost more than I spend on groceries for us both in a month, but beans and rice sound good for now) Negatives: Haven't figured out why Dodge thought chrome and black paint go together. After having a lot of pieces chromed, it is my job to paint the "in betweens". That means tape, tape, tape... I will throwing out any tape I have in the house due to "tape PSTD". That means Christmas presents will not be wrapped this year! Another not...if I have to paint one more nut, bolt, part...I'll scream. One more to add, if you lose a nut in the media blaster...by God...find it. Don't wait until the next guy that has put more than 40 hours trying to use that piece of crap only to find out that the reason it hasn't been working right is because a stupid Chevy nut has been stuck in the tube. <sigh> Ok, I'm done. This has been so cathartic. God bless our "C" bodies. Amen. 20130731_113935.jpg20130731_113953.jpg20130731_114124.jpg20130731_161722 (1).jpg20130731_161729.jpg20130731_161829.jpg20130801_104923.jpg20130803_144414.jpg20130803_152326.jpg

How's your steering wheel? Are having a new one made?

Found wheel on ebay...very, very close to original. Right now I can't afford to send my wheel off for restoration...maybe Santa will do that. :icon_santa:

Sand blasting in a cabinet is therapy (as long as the cabinet works) very relaxing and stripping away all the bad/ugly layers. I wouldn't want to do it for a living though

I know how ya'll love pics. Here is the latest. My hubby must really love me for working out in the hot sun (102 degrees today). God Bless you wonderful men!20130810_143611 (1).jpg20130810_120433 (1).jpg

I would fall over dead if I found my wife grinding rust off any of my car parts, let alone in any temperature above 80. Great work!

My wife would just laugh if I asked her to do that.

I wouldn't even be brave enough to ask. My wife lasted 4 hours staining woodwork in a 85 garage with a breeze 22 years ago. The one and only time she went to work with me and I had to drive her home at lunch.

LOL, ok ya'll...oh this is too funny. Nooooooo, I was thanking my hubby for working out in the hot sun. He must really love me. I'd love to take credit but he won't let me get near the tools to do this. I really believe he is enjoying seeing how happy I am to be getting close. I've been waiting 32 years to drive my baby. Don't get me wrong, the shop is about 95 degrees and I'm doing smaller things like trim work and washing stuff in solvent...stuff like that.

Positives:I've been looking for rt taillight and quarter panel molding for over 2 years. NOS taillight came in and so did molding (not so NOS but useable). Yes...NOS taillight. I am blessed.
Negative: Now looking for park light housing.
Will be glad when this is all over and I don't dream about parts every night. 20130810_120123 (1).jpg

I love the parts as much as the cars!

I need NOS taillights still. I have located some and man they are expensive. That's a beautiful piece you have there! Wait until you see the price of NOS backup lights.......DANG!

I've seen the price of the backups. I can't afford them right now. Not after paying what I did for the taillight. I had no choice. I have the original backups but don't know if they can be repaired. By any chance does anyone know if these things can be fixed? The corner on one of them is cracked up a bit and the other one has a piece of the corner broke off. I may have to put them back on the car like this but we will see.

Beauitiful car, I like the colour.

Ya, I think he may love you;
1. He is restoring your dream car.
2. He's doing the heavy(the suck) lifting while restoring your dream ;)

The Hubby and you are doing a fantastic job keep up the good work :D

My gf once helped me push a car out the garage and fell in the opened up den but she still asists me in less dangerous tasks from time to time. :)

When I was injured last year work still had to get done.
