1965 CHRYSLER 300L

I dunno, you're not supposed to post stuff you're interested in but let's face it, GA is a long long way from Connecticut and I don't have 6 grand kicking around assuming this is what it says it is. Seriously lacking in photos and info. Might suck.

Looks nice and Connecticut isn't THAT far.

If it were solid and complete otherwise, I'd still offer on it.. Esp if the original mill was somewhere in that storage unit..

Another fine example of how not to sell a car: take pictures of the motor with a towel across it. Post pictures the size of postage stamps. Sheesh!

And photos of photos from a decade ago.

Actually called on this.. Still there, original motor is available but otherwise complete. Hate to say it but may be trying myself down Georga way. If this thing is complete and solid at all, I'd take my time with it. Get her road worthy, Drive her as is, slowly build her original mill then rip her apart in a few years. Pretty rig.

My favorite model car of the slabside era. This one doesn't seem to have a/c though.

I'm used to the missing AC... Tho I can't imagine why it's missing. I think this may be a mystery car which, don't get me wrong, can be fun but we'll see what fun comes from a closer look.

Old thread I got 'similared' into...

GJS - Would a 300L in Indiana do any better for you? It's a nicely-optioned car, originally silver, would be a good start for a resto project and a striking car when completed. I have some dreams for it (4 bucket seats and a full-length console like a 60-62 Letter car) but my dreams/imagination usually outrun my time and talent.

Runs and drives, many new parts, fairly reliable - although I wouldn't say whether it would be smart to drive it to CT without some going-over. However I bought it on ebay in 2006 and drove it 400mi home.

Currently has a used-but-rebuilt 400, but the 413 is here (is a 65 413HP, I presume it to be the original). The oil pressure light never worked since I bought it, and I was afraid if I put a gage on it I'd worry about what I saw. So ignorance is bliss, and I drove it on errands for 7 years that way. One day the 413 started fine to move out of the garage, but made horrible squeaking sounds when tried to start it to put it away. That's that, I thought, I used my last bit of oil film earlier today and now a bearing has spun. So I put the 400 in, using the 413 bits as needed. Imagine my disgust when the 400, which I had heard run numerous times, made the same sound when I started it back up. I never heard a starter motor sound like that...

Anyway:
PSeat, PW, PVents, AC (underhood stuff is removed but on-hand), tilt wheel, black leather seats -- in rough shape, but I have a full 2nd set of seats, also with a power driver seat, and there are enough section pieces of leather between both sets to sew into a good set of 'vintage' seats. Would need a pro to pull that off, though, I think. I redid all 4 doorpanels, not quite stock but look good for anybody except a purist. PW all work but need some attention to the tracks/guides/seals. PVents work but pass-side is a little slow.

Has TTI exhaust from manifolds back.

Was a CA car until the year before I got it, has a little rust over one wheelwell and a small odd spot in a C-pillar. Both fixable without major surgery. Was originally silver, but had a black Scheib job when I bought it, and could use a paintjob. There is clearcoated Rusto on the top surfaces now as the scheib was coming off.

Overall needs lots of TLC, and in comparable condition to the one you posted (based on only those 2 pics, anyway).

I don't have a price in mind, as it's not yet officially for sale, but it's in my long-term plan. If you're interested I'd send you more pics and we can figure out if it's a good move for both of us.
