If the Steve reading this didn't F me more than once then he knows he's not the one.

AND YES I DO MEAN IT! I can be pretty vindictive and brash, I efing mean it!
Now you wanna take my coffee away :wtf: ...:icon_fU:

I just think getting the hell out of New Jersey and moving on to Idaho would give Dave a new outlook on life, much greater joy and contentment and add at least 10 years to his life.
I love Idaho and find it a really beautiful place to be, without all the wall to wall people and tension that surrounds any locale anywhere near New York City. If it weren't for the winters in Idaho, which I just can't deal with since I grew up in warm weather, I would definitely have considered living up there myself. It needs to happen!!! Wishing him and his family all the best!

Idaho winters are much warmer than here, I had planned to retire there but that was a couple lifetimes ago it seems. Now that I'm pretty well situated here moving isn't in the cards so I'll just suck it up come December...........again and again.

Never seen this from you before :wideyed:. And I am certainly not gonna be the the guy who asks, Tell us how you rea......

$7050 seems too cheap to me. No reserve auctions are not usually very wise IMO. The seller should have tried harder or maybe the current circumstances right now made this sale a must. I sure hope not. A lot of folks are going through pure hell...................................

Someone local could have bought it. Happens all the time. I know I am going to be a lot more selective in my search, prices are going to start dropping a lot.

They may, but my personal experience suggests that they have not started doing so. They may have stopped rising, but AFAICT they have not (yet) fallen (much): all the cars I’ve seriously looked at in the past 3-4 weeks sold pretty quickly and within 10% of my estimated high price — which I was not adjusting for the virus-induced recession.

So as people fall back on their mortgages and car payments, unemployment reaches Great Depression era levels, that won't effect the classic car market?

We were due for a recession before all of this. Do you think in three months the economy will back to where it was pre COVID-19?

No! Do you think old car values drop in two months?
Why do you think this recession that you predict will crash C body prices since no other recession has?
Do you see a trend as in all C body values crash? Or all old cars across the board values fall? Just high end stuff?
What merits do you have that makes you an authority, being on the board for 2 months?

How to snuff out a good thread. Bring in politics, the economy, and the Pandemic.

So, how's the value of Formals holding up?

Your right I have no authority

:wtf: Again, someone else asking questions, I oblige and answer. I have questions of my own and no answers. There seems to be no hope for humanity and common sense.

You are correct Stanley, :wtf:

As Frank Underwood said: "The problem with commons sense is.....that is so common"

But jokes aside, this is a very interesting time where there are exponentially more questions then there are answers. What keeps me happy is the thought of us getting back to some sense of normal(cy and me and my fam cruising in a bid ole C body!)
